Municipal Partnerships and Carbon Credits

Sharp Management partners directly with municipalities to transform wastewater infrastructure into long-term environmental and financial assets. Through our WTS Engineered Wetland systems, towns achieve high-level wastewater treatment without chemicals, moving parts, or electricity — reducing operational complexity and long-term costs. These systems are engineered not only for performance, but for sustainability and financial resilience.

Our wetlands also generate Certified & Verified carbon credits that are measured, independently audited, and registered to recognized standards. This creates a transparent and credible carbon revenue stream tied directly to municipal infrastructure. Instead of relying solely on ratepayer funding, participating towns benefit from an environmental asset that produces measurable carbon reduction value.

Fifty percent of all carbon credit revenue is returned directly to the municipalities operating these systems, helping offset operational costs. The remaining fifty percent supports future wetland projects in other communities, creating a cycle of reinvestment across Newfoundland & Labrador. The result is infrastructure that reduces emissions, lowers costs, and contributes to a more sustainable municipal future.
